Education & Training

Dr. Roman earned her degree in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine San Fernando, University of San Marcos in Lima, Peru. She did her internship in pediatrics at Obrero Hospital in Lima. Dr. Roman trained in the United States with a residency in psychiatry at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at The McAuley Neuropsychiatric Institute (now closed) at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco, California. Dr. Roman continues her education in psychiatry and has recently been re-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. in both psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
